CEO: Gazprom's sales to China to exceed 22.5 bcm in 2023
MOSCOW, Dec 28 (PRIME) -- Russia's gas delivery to China will exceed 22.5 billion cubic meters (bcm) in 2023 compared with the contract obligations of 22 bcm, CEO Alexei Miller said on Thursday.
"The amount of shipments to China will stand at more than 22.5 bcm in 2023, while our contract liabilities stand at 22 bcm," Miller said.
Gazprom is to sign 15-year contracts with Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in mid-2024 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Miller said. "On November 1, 2025 reliable, stable shipments under these contracts to the Central Asian republics will begin," Miller said.
The company sold gas to Uzbekistan in December through the Central Asia – Center pipeline in accordance with the most technologically advanced procedures, he added.
The coefficient of Gazprom's gas reserves increase stood at more than 1 in 2023 for the 19th consecutive year, which was a historical record length of reserve increase.
